1991 inicia MARIA ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES (1949ELCHE, Alicante Spain) su proceso creativo en ARTE GEOMÉTRICO "COMBINABLES Trazado Espacial Continuo", exposición en Caja Ahorros del Mediterráneo Alicante CAM (1993)
MARIA ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES (1949 ELCHE). Ingresa y estudia Profesorado de Dibujo (1965 -1970) en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando de MADRID y Universidad Complutense. Durante 25 años trabajó en pintura realista y diseño de composiciones de arquitectura metafísica y en dos pinturas, 90x81cm y 130x146cm óleo/lienzo, que realizó (1986-88) en el MUSEO NACIONAL del PRADO de Madrid de la escultura de mármol ARIADNA DORMIDA en NAXOS. Dichas pinturas se mostraron una en, Mitologías en el Centro Cultural Galileo (1989) y otra en la exposición individual en laGalería Albatros (1990) en MADRID.
1991-Inicia MARIA ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES (1949 ELCHE) el proceso creativo en ARTE GEOMÉTRICO: DIGITAL, PINTURA y ESCULTURA con la formulación teórica del concepto, matemática continua y geométrica para sus obras, que escribió y publicó en el catálogo de la exposición, COMBINABLES, TRAZADO ESPACIAL CONTINUO, 1993, en la Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo CAM, en Alicante. Han pasado casi 30 años desde queILUMINADA GARCÍA-TORRES comenzóla Investigación en Arte Geométrico y realizado numéricas exposiciones de geometría digital, ARIADNE´S THREAD, EL HILO DE ARIADNA MUSICALIDAD...encontrando la motivación para sus proyectos en los nuevos avances tecnológicos que la Ciencia proporciona al Arte.

It is not easy to respond to the arithmetic and orthogonal processes, of the poetry and sensitivity in the compositional contents in the work of ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES (ELCHE1949). IILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, (Elche, Alicante, 1949)she has made a decided commitment to Geometric Art, developing orthogonally organized shapes and colors. Following paths opened by the geometric Kandinsky of the German Bauhaus, author of POINT AND LINE ON THE PLANO, and Dutch Neoplasticism, ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES
understands her painting and her sculpture as a mathematical system of proportions and geometric shapes.
ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES achieves to formulate, in 1991, a basic module of squares, where she drew the points and lines. This module will be the beginning of future experimentation in Geometric Art.
A geometric and mathematical cosmos, that ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES considers independent worlds, but participants of the totality, calculated according to systems of proportion in their measurements. The relation between full space and empty spaces is dynamic, because it generates multiple variations, determined by the color, shape, number, and direction of the lines, an interactive space that generates an integrating harmony of all the geometric elements in the composition. The thread of Ariadna, is the generic name that has adopted to denominate to her work ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, as a consequence painting (1986-88) the marble sculpture of Ariadna of the Museum of the Prado, in which she discovered a harmony of geometric y order mathematician that was to preside over her future work. The space research has been formally complicating his proposals with a multiplication of rhythmic sequences, parallel to the world of music, pictorial geometries that she calls Continuous Spatial Drawings. From this proposal her work is incorporated into the new technologies applicable to the art of painting.
The recent works of ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES, geometries of infinite development of the combinatorial of color and the process of the image generated by computer where the brushstroke is now structured by the pixel (picture element), dot in a rectilinear grid of points to form a geometric digital image.

Geometry, Color and Musicality are three concepts of the eurythmy that emerges from the artistic work of ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES.
Geometry in which the rhythm of a musicality visible to the eyes is appreciated, inaudible, only in appearance.

ILUMINADA GARCIA TORRES, in 1965-1970 she ingress and studied Professor of Drawing at the Superior Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Madrid and Complutense University of Madrid.
